If you want to install carpet at your places without using tack strips & you are worried how to do it, don't worry, you simply need to follow the given steps carefully to get the desired result:- Check that the small tension rods are attached at the base of each stair that can be easily placed to tighten your carpet which runs the whole length of your stairs.
- Apply a glue at the base(small amount) & at the top of each of your stairs in order to keep them in place.
- Another alternative of previous step is to carpet each of your stairs individually where the foor lands.
- Take a knife (sharp utility), a measuring tape and now measure the width of your stairs and also the length.
- Now cut your carpet to fir the bottom of each of your stairs which means the area where the foor will fall.
- Work from top to bottom and apply the removable carpet glue with the help of a glue gun & adhere the piece to your stair.
- Small nails can be attached to all the corners of each of your carpet piece to keep them from curling up.
