Easy Steps & Items Required To Fix Sagging Chair Springs

The users can easily fix sagging chair springs by following the below-described steps but first, you need to collect certain items that are required while performing this procedure:

Items Required

  • Diagonal Pliers
  • Drill/Driver & Wire
  • Staple Puller
  • The Hammer

Steps

  • Step 1: Start by detaching the cushion from the surface of the chair so as to disclose the chair springs. If the users found that the cushion is not coming out from the chair then the bottom of the chair is built from the plywood material and the users then need to pull the chair towards its upside-down direction and then detach all the screws that are piercing through the frame of the chair to the plywood material by using the drill/driver. Then the users need to detach the base of the chair so as to disclose the springs.
  • Step 2: Once the Plywood base of the chair is detached the users then need to detach the fabric by detaching all the staples all around the boundary of the chair by using the staple puller. Then they need to carefully lift the springs by using the fingers. If in case they noticed that the brackets or the staples that are affixing the chair spring with the frame is loose then they need to fix them tightly back again by using the hammer.
  • Step 3: Then the users need to tie-up the wire over one spring side as there are continuous spring rows that are lying in the sideways. They need to start from one spring row and then twist the stiff wire over the under and the above surface of the seat and then gently tie the wire to the other rows as well. Trim the wire and adjust it by using the pliers. The users are advised to tie the wire tightly on each row respectively.
  • Step 4: The users need to repeat step 3 and tie the stiff wire on each of the rows. The wires that the users have wrapped should form the zig-zag pattern when the users will finish wrapping the wire.
  • Step 5: The users then need to place the light fabric cover back over the chair seat and affix it by using the staple gun. The users also need to re-attach all the screws and nuts to the frame by using the drill/driver.
