5 Easy Steps To Repair/Fix A Broken Leg On Furniture

  1. Turn The Chair: Firstly the users need to place the chair towards its upside-down area so that the broken leg of the furniture item can be operated easily. By playing the matchstick into the hole the leg will get properly fitted with the furniture item. Broke the matchstick on the top of the hole and then place the leg in the correct position. Bend the leg in an anti-clockwise direction to place the leg in the correct position.
  4. Applying The Wood Glue: Apply the wood glue to the inside areas of the broken leg with the help of the putty knife or the utility knife. Carefully try to place all the broken pieces of the furniture item by wrapping the masking tape around it in order to keep the leg in one place and let the wood glue to dry for one day.
  5. Place The Dowel: Once the users find out that the wood glue is completely dried the users then need to insert a dowel straight through the broken leg of the furniture item so as to offer more strength to the broken leg. Then insert the 1-inch long nail to the dowel and then apply the wood glue to the dowel in order to properly affix the dowel. Allow the wood glue to dry completely for few hours in the open air before using the furniture item again.
