Easy Steps For Installation Of The Carpet Tiles Without Glue

The easy steps for installing the carpet tiles without using the glue are as follows. Follow each and every step carefully in order to achieve the desired result:
  1. Acclimate: The first step is to remove all the carpet tiles from the packaging and place them in the room, so that tiles will become acclimated in 24 hours before installation, this will help the tiles to get used to the condition and will avoid shrinkage and expansion.
  2. Cleaning: Its very important to clean the floor before going for installation process. Simply Vacuum the floor and mop it with any cleanser. In addition to a subfloor or concrete floor the carpet tile can also be laid on hardwood flooring.
  3. Measure The Midpoint: After the cleaning is done then its time to measure the midpoint of each wall along the base and draw a chalk line between all the opposite walls. This will help to divide the room into four equal quadrant parts, the center of the room is the spot where the lines intersect.
  4. Double-sided Tape: Now the user needs to place a strip of double-sided tape along all the edges of the bottom of the first carpet tile.
  5. Place The Carpet Tile: In this step the user needs to keep the carpet tile in the corner of one of the quadrants part in the center of the installation room. The user can see the arrows on the back of the carpet tiles so it's facing the direction as desired.
  6. Install: Once the above step is done then install the carpet tiles in the three other quadrant parts in the center of room with the same method.
  7. Finish: Finish the installation job on the floor until either the user reach the walls or need to cut the tiles for fitting. Its advisable to use the double-sided tape on every other tile, as it will help to lock down the loose tiles into right place once the floor is completed.
  8. Measure And Cut: For complete job its important to measure all the space around the perimeter of the installation floor for the tiles that need to be cut down. After the measurement is done then turn the tiles upside down and mark the cut line on the tile. Use a straightedge along the cut line and cut down the extra carpet tiles with a utility knife.

Important Tip

It is highly advisable to practice laying out the tiles before the installation. This is important in case there are different color tiles or reversing the direction of each tile to create a parquet look.
