Best And The Easy Way To Install Commercial Carpet Tiles

In order to install commercial carpet tiles, the users need to follow the below-mentioned way and steps:
  1. Prepare The Subfloor: Its important to prepare the subfloor before heading towards the process. The commercial carpet tiles can adhere to the concrete, plywood as well as to the particleboard subfloors. The user can also fix the carpet tiles on the existing wood, tile or vinyl flooring but it's advisable to remove the existing flooring before installing the new one. The carpet tiles do not have inner padding, and the user will be able to feel underlying grout lines and texture from the previous flooring. Some of the carpet tile adhesives even can permanently damage hardwood floors. The user needs to fill out any cracks in the subfloor, to prevent the moisture damage, apply a floor primer and sand down the high areas. Use the primer meant for floor. Properly clean the subfloor using a vacuum, broom or mop as needed. Let the area to dry for few hours.
  2. Measure: The next step is to measure all the area and at the same time draw the guidelines as well. Start measuring the area by finding out its center point and mark with the Chaulk. Divide the area into 4 equal quadrants by drawing 2 equal perpendicular lines that intersect the center point. The lines will be the guide for installation.
  3. Installing Peel and Stick Carpet Tiles: Start installation process at the center point, simply layout the first four carpet tiles at the corners of every quadrant to form out a square. After that Peel and fix Carpet tiles by removing the adhesive backing and carefully place the tiles on the chalk line then Press down to secure the carpet tile strongly.
  4. Glue Down Carpet Tiles: In case of the glue down tiles the users are advised to use the manufacturer recommended carpet adhesive. Spread out the adhesive onto the subfloor evenly using a notched trowel. It's important to start in small sections, this is due to the reason that adhesive dries out too quickly. Next lay out the carpet tiles along the guidelines and press down to secure them firmly.
  5. Trim The Carpet Tiles: In case the area is not perfectly square, then carpet tiles lining the walls need to be trimmed to fit out the area. For that measure out the space between the last carpet tile and the wall. To cut out the tile to fit use a carpet cutter and a straight edge. In case of the odd spaces like door jambs, first, trace out the area onto a piece of paper, then use the piece of paper as a guide for cutting the carpet tile. Until the transition looks seamless till that time smooth out the area with hand.
  6. Roll Out The Floor:: The last step is to roll out the floor with the help of the floor roller to remove any air underneath, roll the floor with the help of 75-pound floor roller so that the carpet will adhere firmly to the subfloor.
