You simply need to apply some cold water for 5-10 minutes or more longer over the stained area of your carpet but remember that do not use hot water on it because this will set a protein stain.
  2. Rub Laundry Detergent Into The Stain: If you see that the stain is still there then rub liquid laundry detergent into the area that has been badly affected & soak in room temperature water for about 30 minutes. Rub the stain softly for every few minutes. If you aren't able to use the liquid laundry detergent then you can also try dish soap instead.
  3. Rinse And Add Stain Remover: After rinsing the carpet with the previous step now add a stain remover to the area of your carpet that has been stained badly and then allow it to sit for about 8 to 10 minutes earlier rinsing entirely with cold water.
  4. Repeat Steps Until Stain Is Gone: Repeat the soaking & stain remover process until no ice cream is left in the carpet. Be sure that you don't see any leftover stain because once the carpet is dried, it will be nearly impossible to remove it later.

Method 2: Removing Dried Ice Cream

If an ice cream spill has already dried on your carpet, follow these 3 steps to remove the stain.
