What Are The Steps To Install Linoleum Flooring on Concrete Floor

- Prepare The Floor: The customers need to start by removing the old floorings from the top surface of the concrete. The customers then need to detach all the baseboards from the walls by using the pry bar. They also need to check whether the surface of the subfloor is even and if in case the customers find out any imperfections on the concrete subfloor then the customers are advised to use the self-leveling compound in order to make the surface of the concrete subfloor even. The customers then need to let the self-leveling material to dry completely.
- Acclimate: The customers need to place the Linoleum in the room where they are going to get installed for near about 4 days so that the Linoleum will get adjusted according to the humidity of the room.
- Place The Linoleum: The customers then need to start spreading the linoleum in the room where it is going to get installed. The customers can also cut the edges of the linoleum by using the sharp-edged knife.
- Start Installing: The customers need to apply some amount of the wood adhesive at the back of the linoleum pieces that are going to get exposed with the concrete subfloor. They also need to apply some amount of the adhesive to the subfloor as well. The customers then need to place the first portion of the linoleum downwards on the concrete floor. They then need to gently Press linoleum portion down. The customers then need to apply the same procedure while installing the other parts of the linoleum on the concrete subfloor.
- Roll: Once the customers installed the linoleum on the concrete floor they need to use the roller and move it on the entire surface of the linoleum in order to remove the gaps from the middle of the floor.
