Way 2: Using Contact Cement
- Position The Carpet: First of all, position the carpet piece on a uniform & consistent surface in such a manner that the back side of the carpet piece is facing up.
- Clean Carpet Back: Now, clean the back side of the carpet piece with the help of a shop towel or rag in order to get rid of any loose dust and dirt, if present, from the back side of the carpet piece.
- Apply Contact Cement: Next, apply an even layer of contact cement to the back side of the carpet piece as well as to the wood's surface. In order to protect yourself, it is highly recommended to wear latex gloves and a nose mask. Now, allow the contact cement to dry entirely for near about 15 minutes.
