Steps To Get Creases Out Of Vinyl Flooring

The cause of creases on the vinyl flooring is due to the bumpy or sloped floor surface. The material required for removing creases from the vinyl flooring includes Level, Paint roller, Dish soap, Wet/dry vacuum cleaner, Sponge, Vinyl roller, Utility knife, Putty knife, latex primer, Scraper, Vinyl adhesive, Rags, Spray bottle, etc. The steps for removing out creases from the vinyl flooring are given as follows:
  1. Trim The Floor: The first step is to remove the baseboard of a vinyl floor with the help of a flat head screwdriver.
  2. Remove Nails And Glue: Use pry bar to remove the nails from the floor. To remove the glue from the vinyl floor, warm water and dish soap solution are sprayed on the glued area.
  3. Remove Dust: Now remove the debris particles from the subfloor by cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner and allow the floor to dry.
  4. Apply Primer: Take a paint roller and start applying primer on the subfloor and wait until it dries completely.
  5. Check Floor Level: Now the customer needs to check the level of the subfloor and mark the low-level areas with the pencil.
  6. Damp The Floor: Take sponge and water and slightly wet the floor surface.
  7. Spread Compound: Combine leveling compound with cold water and spread the mixture on the low-level areas with the help of a putty knife. Then Leave the subfloor to dry completely.
  8. Replace Vinyl: Now the next step is to install the new vinyl on the floor and cut the edges of the vinyl with the help of utility knife.
  9. Roll The Vinyl: Apply adhesive on the vinyl with the help of notched trowel by rolling the vinyl half. To make the edges smooth and flatten the creases use vinyl roller and roll the vinyl back and flat and continue the process.
  10. Wipe The Adhesive: Use a wet rag to clean the adhesive that leaks out from the edges.
