5 Easy Steps To Fix Heavy & Light Scratches On Acrylic Furniture

Acrylic Paint, famously known for paint drying and also water-soluble paint. Do you have furniture which is covered by the acrylic paint and got scratched with something and you want to get rid of the scratches, both heavy as well as light scratches, then this article is for you. Simply follow each & every step which is mentioned below in order to refinish your acrylic furniture.
Step 1-Clean: The first step you need to do is to get rid of grime, dirt or grease, if any, from your acrylic furniture. Simply make a homemade solution of warm water and liquid detergent before using it with a soft clean rag. Wash the affected area with this mixture and then rinse it with warm water and wipe the area with a soft clean rag.
Step 2-Apply: After you finish the cleaning process, now apply a little amount of mild abrasive polishing compound on the scratched area by using a clean, soft rag. Do this process in a circular motion until the scratch becomes invisible. Repeat this process again until the scratch is gone from acrylic furniture.
Step 3-Wipe: Once finished, now wipe the compound with a soft clean rag, if scratch still remains there then submerge the sheet of sandpaper (800) in a water bucket and remove it then fold it into a workable size. Rub your surface in a circular motion. Once the scratch becomes invisible then repeat the process but this time use a 1200 grit sandpaper.
Step 4-Buff: Now, bring back the old shine of your acrylic furniture, to do this you need a metal polish. Apply this polish with the help of soft clean rag, do this work in a circular motion to buff the affected area. You may need this process for 2-3 times to bring back the shine fully.
Step 5-Sand Paper: If you have heavy Scratches on your furniture then follow this and next step if not then leave this step. In order to remove heavy scratches then follow step 3. First, use 600 grit, then 800 grit and then 1200 grit sandpaper for this process and then follow the step 4 for bringing back the shine of your furniture.
