Easy Steps To Get Rid Of The Brush Strokes When Painting Cabinets

Here are some of the easy steps by which the users can easily get rid of the brush strokes while painting cabinets:
  1. Gather All The Material And Tools: Firstly start by collecting all the tools and the materials like Dish soap, Screwdriver, sandpaper, Orbital sander, Soft rags, primer, Roller, painters tape, Paint sprayer, plastic sheets, paint and paint pen in order to accomplish this task.
  2. Clean Up All The Dust: Once the users gathered all the tools then they need to clean up all the dust and the debris particles from the surface of the cabinets by making a mixture of the dish and the warm water in a small-sized bucket. Then dip the soft rag in the soap solution and rub it over the entire surface of the cabinets including all the knobs and Metal hinges respectively. Then let the cabinets to dry completely.
  3. Detach The Cabinet Doors: Once the cabinets are properly cleaned then the users need to detach all the doors of the cabinets by detaching the metal hardware including the screws and knobs. Then users are advised to safely place the metal hardware so as to use them again while re-attaching the doors.
  4. Use The Sandpaper: Then users need to use the medium-grit sandpaper and sand it all over the surface of the cabinets including both the phases of the cabinet doors. Then use the soft rag to wipe away all the sanding dust from the surface accordingly.
  5. Apply The Wood Primer: The users are advised to use the spray primer and spray it over the cabinet areas and the cabinet doors. Allow the first coat of the wood primer to dry completely before applying another layer of the wood primer.
  6. Apply The Paint: Once the primer layer is dried completely then fill up the sprayer with the paint and apply it over the front and the backside of the cabinet and cabinet doors. The users are advised to hold the sprayer at 8 inches far from the cabinets and apply the paint in one direction. Allow the first coat of the paint to get dried completely before applying a second coat of the paint.
  7. Lay The Plastic Sheets: The users then need to lay down the plastic sheets all around the floors and affix it tightly by using to the wall and to the floor by using the painter's tape respectively.
  8. Use The Paint Roller: Then use the paint roller while applying the wood primer all they have to do is to add the wood primer directly to the paint pan and then gently dip the paint roller into the painting pan and squeeze out all the excess wood primer from the paint roller. Then apply the wood primer to the cabinet surface in the up and the down motion. Then let the wood primer to get dried completely. Once the wood primer coat is dried completely apply the paint in the same manner accordingly.
  9. Re-attach The Doors: Once the paint coat is dried completely then re-affix the doors to the cabinets by reattaching the saved metal hardware.
