5 Easy Steps To Upcycle Furniture

In order to upcycle the furniture, the user needs to follow the below-given steps:

1. Prepare: The first step in upcycling the furniture is to prepare the surface which means to remove all the screws that hold the upholstery after that secure the screws in a safe place so that it can be used again later.
2. Sanding: The next step is to go for sanding process to all the surface where the upcycling is needed. The electric sander works best for this purpose, but sand in the directions of the wood grain. The user needs to make sure to sand all the corners, as well as all the old paint, should be removed.
3. Cleaning: Now the cleaning step depends on the type of paint to be used. In case of the water-based paint, wipe down the furniture with the help of the wet cloth. And in case of the oil-based paint wipe the furniture with the cleaner, then let the furniture to dry completely.
4. Paint: Apply the paint with the best quality brush, use the different sizes of the brush one for the paint and other to remove the drips excess paint to avoid the drips. Apply at least 2 coats for the better finish and look.
5. Upholster: Now upholster the furniture but overlapping on every side, then use the stapler to fix the new upholstery.
