What Are The Steps to Make Chair Covers out Of PillowCases?

If the user is looking to cover his set of chairs, buying a whole set of chair covers can be a bit too expensive. In order to cover up the whole expense, the user can make chair covers by self out of pillowcases for which the user needs to follow the below given steps carefully:

Selecting Pillowcases:
Firstly, the user is required to make a selection of pillowcases by selecting 2 pillowcases for each chair multiplied by a number of chairs. The reason to select 2 pillowcases for each chair is that one pillowcase covers the seat of the chair while other covers its back. It is necessary to measure the seat and back of the chair in order to make sure that the user gets the perfect size for pillowcases.
Remove Seat From The Chair:
After that, the user is required to remove the seat from the chair by removing all the fasteners that are holding the seat with the chair. It has been recommended to turn the seat over in order to locate the fasteners and remove them using a screwdriver or a drill. The user needs to place the fasteners at a safe place for future use.
Cut The Pillowcases:
The next step in the process will be to cut the pillowcases using fabric scissors. The exact measurement to cut the pillowcases will be 4 square inches or 26cm square larger than the seat cushions. The user can also wash & iron the pillowcases before using them as chair covers. In case the user wants to add extra foam or padding to the cushion, he needs to cut the pillowcases a little larger in order to accommodate the foam.
Place The Seat Over Fabric:
Afterward, the user requires placing the seat on top of the fabric. The user needs to make sure that the right side of the fabric is facing downwards. The user can also place foam or extra padding on to the fabric directly and then place a seat cushion on top of the foam making sure the seat side is facing downwards. The user also needs to adjust the foam and seat cushion at the middle of the fabric.
Staple The Fabric:
The next step will be to staple the fabric on to the back side of the seat cushion by pulling the fabric tightly. It has been recommended to pull the one side of the fabric and center staple it on to the back side. The user needs to repeat the process on to the opposite side followed by the other sides as well. The recommended tool for the step is staple gun and the user needs to staple the fabric on to the back side of the chair after every two-inch gap.
Fasten Seat With The Chair:
Once the seat is stapled with new fabric, the user needs to fasten the seat back to the chair using fasteners placed at a safe place during removal of the seat from the chair. The tool recommended for the process is a screwdriver or a drill.
Slip A Second Pillowcase Over To The Back:
The next step will be to slip a second pillowcase over to the back of the chair. The step is quite simple, all the user needs to do is pull the pillowcase down to the back of the chair with seam side of the pillowcase at the top. In case there is excess material at the bottom, the user can let it bunch around or tuck it up inside the pillowcase.
Repeat The Process To Remaining Chairs:
Lastly, the user needs to repeat the whole process to each remaining chair in order to make all the chairs match.
