Materials Required

Way I- By Using The Vinegar And Tea

  • Boil The 2 Cups Of Water: First of all, boil the 2 cups of water and keep on boiling it till the users are ready to pour it in the other container. The users are advised to pour the boiled water in the heat-resistant container and then use the container that is having the wide opening for the soft paintbrush.
  • Soak The 2 Tea Bags: Then the users need to soak up the 2 black tea bags directly in the water containing container and the users are advised to allow the tea bag to sit in the water for almost 24 hours.
  • Use The Apple Vinegar And Steel Wool: Then they need to soak the pad of the steel wool in the apple vinegar. The users are advised to use only 0000- grade of the steel wool so as to achieve the best results. Then they need to allow the steel wool to soap up the apple vinegar for almost 24 hours.
  • Apply The Black Tea: Then they need to use the soft brush so as to apply the black tea to the entire surface of the pinewood and then allow the black tea to get dried off completely for almost one hour. The users are advised to make the tea layer dry completely before applying the other coat of the tea stain.
  • Apply The Vinegar Mixture: Then the users need to apply the mixture of the apple vinegar and the steel wool to the entire surface of the pinewood by using the soft paintbrush. This mixture will make the pine wood to get oxidized and then the pinewood will eventually turn into a darker tone.
  • Repeat The Procedure: Finally the users are advised to allow the wood to get dried off completely for almost 1 hour and if the users find out that they did not achieve their desired darker tone then they need to repeat the same procedure.

Way II- Using The Coffee

  • Use The Coffee Grounds: First of all, thee users need to fill up the bowl with the 1 cup of the coffee grounds and the users are advised to use the heat resistant bowl.
  • Add The Water: Then they need to add one and a half cups of the hot water to the bowl containing the coffee. They need to pour the hot water in a slow process so that the coffee won't splash out. Then they need to allow the coffee to soak in the water for almost half an hour.
  • Place The Filter: Then the users need to place the filter of the coffee in the mesh strainer and the users are advised to be assured that the filter of the coffee is opened and is placed at the central area of the strainer.
  • Hold The Strainer: Then the users need to hold up the strainer over the container and then gently pour the mixture of the coffee. Then they need to set the container aside the moment users fill it up.
  • Use The Tarp: The users are advised to work in the well-ventilated area so as to avoid the mess and if in case the users are working in the inside area then they need to place the tarp in the inside place and then place the pinewood over it.
  • Use The Sandpaper: The the users need to sand down the pinewood surface by using the sandpaper and they are advised to sand down the surface of the pine with the grain direction till it is smooth.
  • Apply The Coffee Mixture: Then they need to use the soft paintbrush and then apply the coffee mixture all over the surface of the pinewood and then allow the stain to get dried off completely. The users can also add more coats of the coffee mixture if they didn't achieve their desired stain.
  • Apply The Sealant: Once the users achieved their desired darker tone then they need to apply the coat of the sealant to the entire surface of the pine wood.
