Procedure To Reupholster A Curved Back Chair

Follow the below-given procedure in order to reupholster a Curved Back Chair:
  1. Cut: First of all, Cut through the seams of the old upholstery fabric so that each piece comes off intact, and carefully remove the old batting by cutting with the scissors.
  2. New Foam: Cut the new foam to fit the back and seat of the chair, simply cut the foam with the scissors or electric carving knife.
  3. Coat: After that coat the front of the seat back and seat with a light mist of spray adhesive. Then carefully, Line up the foam and press it into place.
  4. Cotton Batting: Now cut the cotton batting 4 inches larger than the seat and back, and then simply center it over the foam. Simply pull the top of batting on the top of the backrest then put a staple at the center.
  5. New Fabric: Lay Down the old fabric on the new one and cut out the section or pieces, now pin the new sections of the fabric together with the wrong side facing outside.
  6. Sew: Now sew the fabric pieces with the wrong side out but leaving the bottom of the seat back open, then turn the fabric right side out, and simply fit it over the backrest.
  7. Drape: Now Drape the fabric on the seat and carefully staple it.
