5 Easy Steps To Attach Casters To Office Chair

Most of the office chairs come with the attached casters but the users can attach the casters to any office chair if the legs of the chair are sturdy to support the casters. The users can easily attach the casters on the office chairs at home by following the below-mentioned steps:
  1. Turn The Chair: The users need to start by placing the chair towards its upside-down direction and place it over any sturdy material so that the legs of the chair are upwards and also flat with one another as they can be over the floor surface.
  2. Mark The Central Point: Then they need to use the quick square in order to mark down the center point of the chair legs and then drill the hole in each one of the legs by keeping the electric drill in a straight level as the spindles of the casters usually differ from the style and the brand so in general the users are advised to drill a hole as per the depth and the bit size that is recommended as per the instructions of the casters.
  3. Use The Masking Tape: Then the users need to wrap the masking tape piece all around the bit area at a general distance from that tip that is equal to the region of the drilled hole so as to get the exact idea of the depth. The users are advised not to apply the force on the drill instead of this they need to apply the gentle pressure over the drill in order to keep the bit in a steady position. Then they need to wipe away all the dust from the surface of the hole.
  4. Place The Spindle: Then they need to place the spindle case directly to the hole and tap it evenly to the leg base by using the rubber mallet or the small hammer. Then the users need to repeat the same procedure of drilling the spindle installation with the remaining legs of the chair.
  5. Set The Casters: Then the users need to set up the casters directly into the spindles and then lock it up in that place and to do so they need to use the wrench in order to affix the casters with the nut at the axile base. The other type of caster is having the spring-loaded clip which grabs in a place when they get slid into the sleeve position and for this kind of the casters the users need to tap it more than two times by using the hammer and the mallet in order to fix the casters perfectly.
