If you are using the rubber-backed carpet, use two-sided tape & place the tape along with the edge of the carpet all the way around the carpet edge.
  • Lay down the padding & then roll out half of your carpet over the padding. Now, attach your carpet to the tack strips using the hammer or remove the backing to the two-sided tape & lay the carpet on your floor along the edge of the wall, depending on what type of carpet you are going to lay. Make sure to smooth your carpet out as you go to avert having any ripples on your floor.
