- Determine The Location Of The Noise: The drying of wood is the main reason for the shirk of wood boards and cause small gaps between the boards of the hardwood floor. The user needs to know that if the user step on a gapped area of the wooden board then the boards sink lower and will make the squeaky noise.
- Secure Loose Wooden Boards: Mostly the reason of the squeaky hardwood floor is loose wooden boards. Secure the loose boards with nails or the staples. Use a hammer to work with nails. Walkover the hardwood floor to check the squeaky noise. Wood stapler is also useful for this process.
- Apply Baby Powder: Start apply a medium amount of baby powder between the boards of the hardwood floor causing the squeaks. Force baby powder into the seams of the hardwood floor by using a paper towel and push the baby powder with a finger.
- Plastic Card: Use thin plastic card to force the baby powder into the entry point until the squeaky noise has gone from the hardwood floor. Clean the remaining baby powder with a cloth or paper towel.
