  • First you need to move your antique table to garage or to outdoor area, if you are not able to do this then you can also place a plastic tarp over floor to avert it from being damaged during this repairing process.
  • Now, flip your antique table over making the direction of your table upside-down pointing in the air. Place your broken leg piece back into its original place on your antique table, with the broken edges of the leg fitted together as intimately as possible.
  • Next, wrap some tape(masking) around your antique table leg around 3 to 4 times in order to hold it in actual position while continuing with the repair process. Insert a bit(1/8-inch) into your drill machine.
  • You can now drill 2 holes in your antique table leg at 90 degree angles to your tabletop. All the two holes should be placed at the points of break & should infiltrate the section attached to your table & go through with the broke-off portion of your table leg as well. All the 3 holes must go through with the entired combined table leg.
  • Once done, now put a nail into all the 2 holes until it extends through with the other side of your table leg. Now you need to take a hammer to mildly tap the nail. Remove the applied masking tape from around the antique table leg of your table.
  • After following all the previous steps , now place tip of your glue bottle but make sure to place against the antique table leg at the location of the break. Clutch the bottle softly to put glue into the break, putting the glue around the entire antique table leg. Press the antique table leg pieces together with hands to compress the applied glue.
  • Turn one foot along section of the wax paper in order to face the table leg and then wrap your wax paper around the complete antique table leg & secure it with the masking tape. Allow your antique table leg to sit for a complete day and allow the applied glue to dry wholly.
  • Next remove all the applied masking tape & also the wax paper from your amtique table leg. Cut off all the 4 nail ends as close to the surface of your antique table leg as possible, for this purpose wire cutters can also get used.
  • This is your final step, file down all the 4 bulge ends of nails until they are soft & flush with the antique table leg. Use metal file before turning your table right side up & then place it back into its initial position.
