7 Easy Steps To Do This Work

  • Step 1-Clean: In order to clean the chipped area on the surface of your glass table, you need to take a little amount of acetone before applying it on the affected area and let it dry, remember don't hurt yourself with sharp edges.
  • Step 2-Mix: Once the acetone is dry, mix the 2 part of epoxy on the piece of cardboard or you can also use other disposable items. Do this work with a toothpick or a craft stick and be quick.
  • Step 3-Smear: Now, smear your epoxy compound in to the chipped area by using the craft stick or use a toothpick.
  • Step 4-Smooth Out: After the smear process of epoxy, smooth out your epoxy with the help of a dulled razor blade. Remember to keep your razor blade at a low angle and then spread your epoxy gently.
  • Step 5-Waxed Paper: You can use a wax paper to keep smooth your epoxy, flush and flat on your glass. Simply set the epoxy on the wax paper and if you want to sharpen your corner again then fold the waxed paper gently on the corner of your glass to give the correct shape of your corner to epoxy. Now, tape the waxed paper and wait for the epoxy to dry fully before following the next step.
  • Step 6-Scrape Away: Use a razor blade to remove any excess epoxy from the glass, do this process between 24 to 48 hours because this will be easy in this period.
  • Step 7-Sand: This is your final step and then you will finish your work. Sand your epoxy without scratching the glass. Take a rubbing sanding block and attach sandpaper to it. Take some hot water in a water bowl and dip your sanding block in it. Do this sanding work in coarse, 60- to 80-grit sandpaper and then use a finer grit and then go for 320-grit sandpaper to make the surface smooth of your glass table. Remember to rinse the grits and sandpaper between this process.
