Easy Steps & Items Needed To Clean The Pillows Without Using The Washing Machine
If the users want to clean up their pillows but they do not want to create the lumps on their pillows by using the washing machine then they are advised to wash the pillows with the hand. They need to fill up the bathtub or the sink with the warm soapy water and then place their pillows into it. Steps
- Check The Tag: Start by checking the tag of the pillow so as to find out the fabric type and if it is written dry wash on the tag then the users are advised to avoid washing those pillows by hand and if it does not consist of any of this tag then the users can easily wash it by hand.
- Remove The Pillowcase: Then they need to detach their pillows from its pillowcase and to do so they need to unzip the pillowcase and then gently remove the pillow and if the pillowcase is stained the users need to treat it first before using it again.
- Fill Up The Bathtub: Then they need to fill up the bathtub or the sink with the warm water. If in case the users are using the sink then they are advised to make sure that the sink is big enough to hold up the pillow. The warm water is necessary as it will kill all the mites that are living within the pillow.
- Add The Detergent: Then they need to add the mild laundry detergent to the hot water in the bathtub and then swirl the water with the hand till the soap bubbles are formed. Then after that, they need to soak the pillow into this soapy water for almost 5-10 minutes and to do so they need to press the pillow so that it will get soaked down in the water. Then after that, they need to remove the pillow from the soapy water and hold it beneath the tap that runs the clean water so that all the soapy water gets removed from the pillow surface. They need to place the pillow beneath the tap for almost 3 minutes
- Dry The Pillows: Finally they need to place the pillow over the towel and then gently press the pillow so that the towel will soap up its water and then the users need to place the pillow in the dryer or they can easily hang it in the cord to make it dry completely. If the users are using the dryer then they are advised to place the dryer balls in it so as to maintain the fluffiness of the pillows.
