Steps & Items Needed To Clean An Area Rug On Hardwood Floor
In order to clean an area rug on hardwood floor, the user needs to follow certain steps which are mentioned below along with the items needed for this process:

- Water Hose.
- Mild Dish Detergent And Rug Shampoo.
- Bucket.
- Soft-bristled brush.
- Squeegee.
Steps
- Vacuum: To start the cleaning process, first vacuum the area rug with an attached brush on vacuum nozzle. Squeegee is also used for area rug cleaning.
- Protect: Protect the floor by covering it with drop cloth. Also, tape the corners of the area rug because this helps to stop shaking the area rug while cleaning.
- Pour: Now pour the sodium bicarbonate on the area rug and leave it for 1 day then clean the rug with a damp cloth or rag cloth. If the sodium bicarbonate gets thick and add some water on the area rug and keep cleaning the rug for nearly 5 minutes.
- Cleaning: Apply carpet shampoo directly on the area rug then mix water and vinegar in a bucket and rub the area rug with a clean cloth until the stains of smell are gone from the area rug. Now wipe all liquid from the area rug with water hose.
- Steam: Steam cleaning is the best option for cleaning the area rug but this is a costly process. Simply use the steam cleaner on the surface of the area rug for about 30 minutes.
- Dry: After the steam cleaning let the area rug dry directly in sunlight for maximum up to 24 hours.
