Methods To Clean/Remove A Futon Mattress Of Urine
The urine can easily soak into the Futon Mattress, which as a result will be difficult to remove the urine and odor. Whichever be the affected area of the Futon Mattress, the stain must be treated. Method 1
- Step 1: The first step, is to remove all the bedding from the mattress like pillows, blankets or sheets.
- Step 2: Now blot the excess urine as much as possible with the paper towel.
- Step 3: The next step is to pour the vinegar in the spray bottle and spray the white vinegar directly on the affected area. The Vinegar is regarded as one of the natural deodorizer and besides will also neutralize the urine and remove the odor. For the excess vinegar blot it with the towel.
- Step 4: Sprinkle the baking soda on the affected area and let it sit on the area for a night. On the very next day vacuum the baking soda and wipe down the affected area with the damp cloth. If needed repeat the process.
Method 2
- Step 1: Take a plastic container and fill it with the hydrogen peroxide. Add 1 tablespoon of the mild dish-washing liquid and baking soda to the hydrogen peroxide. Stir well with help of a wooden spoon until the baking soda is fully dissolved.
- Step 2: Apply the mixture to the affected area and saturate it and surrounding area. Allow the mixture to sit on the affected area until it dries completely.
- Step 3: Now vacuum the area with the sweeper's attachment, then wipe the area with the damp cloth.
