  • Coffee Table & 4 Inch Foam
  • Adhesive Spray & Ruler Or Tape Measure
  • Marker & Sharp Utility Knife
  • Upholstery Fabric & Staple Gun And Staples

Steps

  • Figure Out: This is the first step for this project, simply find the piece of foam with the right dimensions to get it fitted and measure your old coffee table. The thickness of foam about 4 inch is recommended by the professionals.
  • Cut: Now take a utility knife with a new attached sharp blade to cut your foam according to the size of your old coffee table.
  • Glue: The recommended glue for this work is 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive because this will work perfectly on foam. Apply this glue on your foam and the surface of your table and apply light pressure on it.
  • Adjust: If you think that the height of your foam is not suitable according to your table then cut the extra foam if the height is not perfect then simple attach some more foam.
  • Fabric Needs: Now, measure the new dimension of your ottoman and add 4 inches extra on the each side of your foam.
  • Attach: After centering the fabric over the top your new ottoman now, attach your new fabric on it simply stapling it with the help of staple gun. Use your gun on the edges and corners of your new ottoman piece in every few inches.
  • Corners: After doing all the previous steps, now do your final step, take some decorative nails and attach them on the edges and corners of your new ottoman by every 1.5inches.
