How To Put Drawers Back In Dresser: 5 Easy Steps

5 Easy Steps To Put Drawers Back In Dresser

All the dresser drawers open & shut through a system of slides & rollers that is commonly known as tracks. If you want to put your drawers back in your dresser then you need to follow all the given steps to finish this project without wasting your precious time. Here are the five easy steps for this process:
  1. First of all, drill with screwdriver tips & pliers but make sure to take these items with you, you just need to remove your drawer from its slot in your dresser in order to access the tracks. Now simply lift up on your drawer as you pull it out and by removing it at an angle. If indispensable then jiggle your drawer slenderly from side to side to help it break free of your drawer track, such as if one side has collapsed out but not the other one.
  2. Now, you have to check the mounting for the drawers track, ensure that the mounting is secure & pushed all the way to the drawer track of your dresser. Now, stiffen any loose screws with the help of a drill machine.
  3. Now you need to inspect your drawers tracks in order to check whether they are any damaged sections or not, like a bent area that could cause your rollers to slide out of the drawer track. Use pliers to bend the crooked sections back into the actual place so the rollers of the drawer will not pop out. If required then remove the trace earlier by unscrewing the mounting screws and then bending it back uninterrupted & then replacing the track of your drawer.
  4. Be sure that the drawers track is installed in the proper fashion. Most of the drawer track have arrows pointing upward to illustrate the proper installation form, if the drawer tracks are pointing to the down then you need to loosen all the screws and then remove your track and flip it around & reinstall it properly.
  5. This is your final step, you need to check for the stripped out screws holes where the screws aren't mounted rigidly, remove all the screws and reposition all the track and then resink all the screws into new holes, repeat this process for both the tracks so they line up.
