What Are The Steps To Level Uneven Floor Joists?

Various steps in order to fix/repair uneven floor joists are as follows:
  1. Measurement: Use measuring tap to take measurement of the uneven or weaken floor joists.
  2. Lumber: Take a piece of lumber of the measurement of the joist and replace it with the same. Alternatively, two pieces of the lumber can be used in case the joists are much longer in length.
  3. Gluing: Application of the wood glue is required on the lumber piece. Once applied, press it against the uneven joist. Make sure to use glue on the lumber top that is above the floor.
  4. Clamp: Ensure to clamp the lumber in the proper position.
  5. Nails: 12 D nails are required to fit into the joists after every 16 inches.
