Way 1: Natural Solution
For the natural solution use the baking soda that is an effective natural cleaner and deodorizer as well, simply sprinkle some baking soda all over the dresser, also on the surface and inside of all the drawers. Then rub the baking soda with a soft microfiber cloth on the dresser as this will increase its effectiveness. Leave the baking soda overnight and then vacuum it out in the morning.
Way 2: Another Natural Remedy
The other natural solution for this is to use the white distilled vinegar, to use this fill out a spray bottle with equal parts of water and vinegar. It is advisable to go for the spot test on an inconspicuous area first to make sure that no damage is done if no harm is done then spray on the entire surface of the dresser drawers as well inside the drawers. Then let the pieces air dry.
Way 3: Sunlight
The power of sunlight and fresh air to remove any smells from dressers or any other furniture is also a very good option. Place the dresser and drawers as well outside in the sunshine but on a cool, sunny day the direct exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays will help to remove the smell. If incase all the measures fail then another option is to seal it in the scent. For this purpose, the user needs to look out for the all-purpose low-gloss water-based sealer like de-waxed shellac. These sealers are best to use for processed wood, particleboard as well. If possible, before applying the sealant try to move the dresser outdoors. If not then open all the windows and use a fan.
