How To Clean Microfiber Cushions/Couches Using Home Remedies?

  1. Regular Maintenance: Regular or weekly vacuuming of the microfiber cushions/couches is recommended to avoid the growth of dirt and debris.

Alcohol is the miracle remedy to clean the microfiber cushions/pillow stains. Steps to clean the stains are mentioned below:
  1. Read Instructions: Prior to washing or cleaning read the washing instructions properly. If the instructions mention washing with water then only proceed with water if not then avoid water as that may cause water stains.
  2. Vacuum: Deep clean the microfiber cushions/ pillows using a handheld vacuum or with a brush attachment. Doing this will loosen the dirt and remove the other grime.
  3. Test: Before using any cleaning solution it is always wise to test the small little area first for colorfastness.
  4. Spray Bottle: Fill the half of the spray bottle with rubbing alcohol.

  8. Dry: Let the surface to dry for 20 to 30 minutes.

The best way to clean the microfiber couches is to steam clean them using carpet shampooing. The various steps involved in it are mentioned below:
  1. Vacuum: The couches need to be properly vacuumed to remove dirt and debris.
  2. Remove Pet Hair: The best way to remove the pet hair from couches is to use a lint roller.
  3. Steam Cleaner: Take the steam cleaner and fill water into its chamber.
  4. Carpet Shampoo/cleaner: Add the desired carpet cleaner/ shampoo inside the spout as per the instructions mentioned.
  5. Testing: Spray bit of the cleaner at hidden area to test the colorfastness and chemical reaction.
  6. Clean: If the test goes well spray the cleaner to the couch entirely and clean.
