- Gather All The Materials And Tools: The users need to start by gathering all the materials and tools that they require while accomplishing this task like plywood, Wood benches, drawer slides, nails, pocket hole screws, measuring tape, electric drill, miter saw, table saw, sander, pencil, Kreg jig, and brad nailer as well.
- Build The Bench End: The California bed can also be crafted from the benches all the users have to do is to craft the bench by using the pocket holes and the pocket screws as well. The users need to use three screws at each joint as that is sufficient to build the bench end.
- Affix The Frame With Bench: Then the users need to affix the back by using the brad nails and the wood glue as well. Then they need to affix the slides to the plywood piece in a way that the front corner of the slide gets associated with the front corner of the plywood piece. The holes that are present in the slide should get aligned up with the pencil marks on the plywood piece so that to get the exact idea that the drawer slides are installed in the correct way. The users need to remember that the opposite slide of the drawers needs to be get installed in the mirror. The users then need to place the trimmed plywood pieces in the inner area of the cubbies and then nail down it with the brad nails accordingly. The users then need to make sure that the front corner should be aligned with the frontal corner of the plywood carcasses.
- Build The Drawer Boxes:The users then need to craft the drawer boxes so as to fit the width of the drawer slide. The users then need to calculate the length in between the plywood piece of size 1x4s, and then they need to minimize the clearance calculations of the slide and then craft the drawers according to the left over calculations. - Affix The Drawers To Slides:Then the users need to affix drawers with the slides. If in case the drawers does not fitted properly with the slides then the users need to use the orbital sander so as to sand down the drawer corners so that it will get fitted properly.
