Steps For This Task
- First of all, you need to take all your cushions off from your couch and then set them aside.
- Next you need to measure the area of your couch where the cushions unremarkably sit – both depth & length. Deduct
3 inches from each taken measurement and also write the numbers down. - After that, you need to draw a rectangle size of your final measurements on a piece of 1/4inch" plywood and then you need to cut with the help of a circular saw or by the jigsaw.
- Now you need to file the edges & corners of your plywood to round them and avert sharp areas that efficacy cut into the upholstery of your couch.
- Next you need to cut out a piece of your foam rubber with the help of scissors to the same size as your plywood.
- Then you need to cut a piece of cloth like an old sheet or a blanket, relatively six inches larger on every side than your plywood.
- Next you need to spread your cloth flat on your floor and then center your foam piece on the top of your cloth. Place your plywood on your foam.
- Now you need to pull all the edges of your cloth up & over the long side of your plywood & then fasten it in place with the help of a staple gun. Turn the edge of your cloth under and then you need to staple every 2 inches to avert unravel or pulling it loose. Do this to all 4 sides until your plywood is wholly encased.
- Finally you need to place your padded board, padded side up, on top of your couch and then replace your cushions.
