Steps For This Process

  1. Slide Door Removal: It is not really hard to take out the sliding door from the bracket in which it's installed. The thread under it is composed of aluminum and is having two ends. The first one is longer than the second. Above mentioned thread has a roller wheel that makes the door to slide on the bathroom side.
  2. Gliding Shower Door: Removing the sliding door procedure is clear and straightforward. You have to check here the thread which is installed beneath the frame. As you know it has two ends, one is facing towards the bathroom and is smaller than the first one. You need to unscrew all the nuts that keep the door in position. Enter in a shower space and detach the door as the hinges are fixed at that end of the door. Here you have to use a screwdriver to loosen the screws which are attached to the iron framework. To keep your floor away from the damage hold the door tight and make good rip on it so that it doesn't go off from your hand. Firstly unscrew the lower hinge than upper. This will help you to lay the door on the floor easily without any damage.
  5. Take Down The Immovable Door: If you are not able to see the nuts than your have to remove more caulking. After removing it and loosening the nuts take it down and glide it over the open area.
  6. Take Down The Aluminium Work: If you want to repair the shower door, its cracks or shattered glass, you have to take down the aluminum framework. This will happen only when you separate the door from the holding thread. You cant replace it with new doors until you take down the framework that fastened the previous ones in position. This framework is so tight to the wall with caulk. Don't worry you can remove it easily with the help of caulk softener. Use the softener directly to the caulk.
  7. Spread: Spread it with the help of painting brush and allow it to dry for 30 to 50 minutes. Now use the utility knife into the middle of the iron then glide back on the rims. This thing is to separate the frame from the glue used before. Carry it out from the two sides of the rim. Use the plastic hammer on the iron so that it releases the glass then easily put the aluminum frame out.
  8. Take Down All The Frameworks And Top Rail: Usually the upper section of the frame is not fused with the other parts which make it easy to detach the door. You need to glide with a utility knife down in the middle of the wall and the frame. You need also a plastic hammer to slam the two sides of the frame then drag it from the wall gently.
  9. Cover The Opening Of The Wall: Ensure that you remove the rubber anchors in the opening of the wall and clean out all the excess silicon with the help of spoiled debit card. You can also use the pointed pair of pliers for this removal successfully.
  10. Hang The Curtains: Now your work is almost done. Measure the length and expanse of your shower door. Then hang the curtains of your choice.
