How To Refinish Particle Board Furniture?

1. Clean The Surface: Before going for the refinish process clean the surface with trisodium phosphate (TSP), spray the solution on the surface and then clean with a rag so that all the residue is removed.
2. Sand: Once the cleaning is done then go for sanding, sanding will help the primer to soak in the surface and will help them to stick to the furniture. Sand in the circular motion with the help of medium grit sandpaper. Then wipe away sanding dust with a damp cloth.
3. Primer: Now apply the primer with the roller or brush, use the primer that works well on the slippery surface, apply the 2 coats of the primer, once the first is dried than go for a second coat.
4. Paint: Once the primer is dried than apply the interior latex paint with a foam roller, apply the thin coat in even manner, once the first is dried than apply the second coat.
5. Polyurethane: At last apply the polyurethane coat over the painted surface that will protect the furniture from the chips and scratches.
