Pros:

- Dimensionally Stable: Which means the wood will retain its original dimensions when subjected to changes in humidity and temperature .
- Resistant To Warping Or Twisting: One of the best feature of the Meranti Wood is that it will not wrap or twist.
Cons
- No Resistance To Insects: One of the major disadvantage of Meranti wood is it has little or no resistance to insects or decay.
- Maintenance: It needs the regular maintenance than other woods such as regular varnishing.
