Steps To Clean Polyester Pillows
The pillows should be cleaned from time to time because if the pillows are not clean then it can be very harmful to health. With the span of time, the pillows get dust, sweat, and oil particles, which should be cleaned as soon as possible otherwise it can turn the cushions yellow, and which will eventually make them less comfortable to use. The steps to wash Polyester Pillows are as follows:
- Remove: To start the washing process, first of all remove the pillowcase or sham. Some of the pillows come with the additional zip on a case that should also be removed. Wash the covers separately.
- Washing Machine: The next step is to put the pillows in the washing machine, where the user need not to worry as almost all the Polyester Pillows can be washed in the machine.
- Detergent: Now add the best quality detergent at least add a cup/scoop of the detergent. For the deep cleaning add ½ a cup of borax to the 1 cup of powdered dishwasher detergent.
- Start: Start the wash cycle, it is best to adjust the setting on the machine in such a way that it runs with hot water and then goes through a second rinse cycle.
- Dryer: Keep the dryer at the low heat setting and place the pillows in the dryer.
- Dry: In order to dry the pillows place 2 tennis balls in clean white socks, and put them in the dryer, it will help to fluff them up and helps in fast drying, now start the dryer.
- Check: After the first cycle is finished remove the pillow and check for any dampness, in case the pillows are still wet then repeat the process.
