Difference Between Laminate And Veneer Furniture
Laminate Furniture
The laminate furniture is a thin layer on the surface of the furniture. It is a durable and strong material and has a wood grain look. It is available in solid colors and has many textures. It is easy to install and hence saves money. It has a smooth surface and can be cleaned easily. It is available in lower quality and hence it gets scratched easily. The laminate furniture has a shorter time span and is not recyclable.
Veneer Furniture
The veneer is a thin layer of hardwood. It is the same as that of laminate but the veneer woods outer layer is build of real solid wood. The Veneer is available at reasonable rates. Its appearance is like wood. It is lighter in weight. The veneer surface is more prone to scratches as compared to laminate furniture. The veneer consists of particleboard in its core that soaks up moisture and hence it is difficult to repair.
