Proper Procedure Of Removing Or Taking Down Levolor Blinds
There are a number of ways that can be used to remove or take down the Levolor blinds but the easy and proper procedure is mentioned below, follow the procedure carefully in order to achieve the desired result:
Examine The Brackets
Before starting the process of removing the Levolor blinds, it is important to closely examine the brackets which hold the headrail right to the top of the window opening. Some of the brackets have a small and hinged flap that clamps down on the front of the headrail, which is holding the headrail as well as the rest of the blind in place. If in case there is not any small flap covering a small section on the front side of the headrail, that time the bracket uses the barbed clip to hold the headrail in place.
Determine The Tools Required
- If Levolor blinds have a bracket with a small, hinged flap, that time use a flathead screwdriver as well as a ladder.
- If in case the brackets have no flaps, then there is no need for any specific tools but only a ladder. In both cases, it is a must to have an eye protector.
- Pull up the cord that brings the slats upwards and then lock down the slats in the high position simply by pulling the cord to the right, or to the left.
Loosen Brackets With Flaps
- Put on the eye protectors then climb the ladder until the head must be at least as high as the brackets are.
- For the brackets with flaps, keep the flat tip of the screwdriver right under the lower edge of the flap and then carefully pull it forward and up.
- When the flaps that were snapped shut during the installation process of the Levolor blinds. Therefore, it will need some strong strength to unsnap the closure of the flap.
- After one end of the flap is opened, then open the other one in the same way. Hold the headrail and then slide it toward yourself and out of the brackets.
Loosen Brackets Without Flaps
In case of the brackets having no flaps, first again wear the eye protection, then simply place the hand firmly on the headrail right near the bracket and then carefully twist the top of the bracket down. There will be a snap noise once the barb has released the headrail. After one of the brackets is unsnapped, then repeat the same process for the opposite bracket.
