Steps To Strip A Floor Without A Machine
The steps are mentioned below to strip a floor without using a machine:
- Purchase Floor Stripper: The first step is to buy the floor finish stripper that is suitable and safe to use on the existing floor.
- Remove Dust: Clean the dust from the floor surface by vacuuming or sweeping and remove all the objects and furniture from the floor.
- Open Windows And Doors: It is necessary to apply the floor stripper in an open and well-ventilated area as the floor stripper releases toxic fumes which can be harmful to health.
- Test The Stripper: Apply a sample of stripper at the corner of the floor and check the strippers affect on the floor. If the floor gets damaged then use stripper of another brand.
- Prepare Three Buckets: In the first bucket combine floor finish stripper and water. Take the second bucket and pour some clean water in it that will be required for cleaning the stripped floor surface. The third bucket consists of tools like scrapers, scrubbers, etc.
