6 Easy Steps To Stain Rubber wood

The rubber wood deplete is used in order to make natural rubber which is also a source of quality wood that occasionally amount less than other hardwoods. This type of wood is beautiful enough for home furniture and other wood items such as decorative wooden items. The rubber wood accepts stain correspondingly to other hardwoods. The method for staining rubber wood is the same as staining other woods, such as oak and maple. In augmentation, because of its natural pale hue, this rubber wood can be easily stained as dark or light as you wish. Here are all the 6 easy steps to stain your rubber wood:
  1. Sand your rubber wood item by your hands or with the help of a power sander with coarse sandpaper- always remember to sand with according to the grain of the wood. Once done then wipe off the rubber wood with a lint-free cloth & then sand again, but this time use sandpaper (fine-grit). Make the rubber wood surface smooth as much as possible.
  2. Next, remove any remaining sanding dust by using a lint-free cloth. Next, make sure that your working area is well-ventilated. Open windows & doors for better air circulation.
  3. Now you need to use a clean paintbrush to apply a thin layer of wood-sanding sealer. This will help the stain to pervade the rubber wood surface more evenly. Let this sealer dry entirely & then sand it softly, with sandpaper (fine-grit), before proceeding to the next step of staining process.
  4. Now you need to put on your safety glasses and rubber gloves and then shake the can of your wood stain. Open the can & stir with the help of a wooden stirrer. Use a sponge or paintbrush to apply the stain on your rubber wood, remember that you should always apply the stain according to the grain of your wood.
  5. Now, simply rub the stain into the rubber wood by using a lint-free cloth. Wait for at least 5 minutes to allow the stain to swallow into the rubber wood.
  6. Finally, Wipe your rubber wood down with a clean lint-free cloth to remove any excess color from your wood. Next, let the stained wood dry fully for a few hours. After the stain has dried fully, you can add more stain if you find that this is not as dark as you wish.
