Steps to Stain Already Stained Furniture

Here are some of the steps by which the customers can easily stain furniture that is already stained:

Prepare the Wood Furniture

1.Remove The Hardware: The customers need to start by detaching all the doors and the drawers from the furniture product by unbinding all the metal hardware like hinges, knobs, and the screws.
2.Place The Drop Cloth: The customers then need to place a drop cloth beneath the furniture product in order to prevent the floor from the spills.
3.Wear The Gloves And Glasses: The customers need to wear the gloves and put on the glasses for extra protection.
4.Use The Sandpaper: The customers then need to use the medium grit sandpaper and rub it vigorously all over the entire surface of the furniture product in order to remove the old stain. The customers then need to use the dry brush and remove all the sanding dust from the furniture surface.

Painting the Wood

1.Apply The Paint: The customers then need to use the oil-build paint and apply a thick layer of it over the furniture product by using the soft cloth or the foam brush as well. The customers then need to use the cotton pads and wipe away all the excess stain from the wood. The customers need to let the paint dry completely before applying two more coats of the stain to the furniture product.
2.Use The Sealer: Once the stain is completely dried the customers then need to apply the water build sealer to the furniture item. The sealer will protect the furniture item from the stains and the spills accordingly.
3.Re-attach The Doors: Once the paint is completely dried the customers then need to re-attach the doors, drawers, and shelves to the furniture item by using the saved hinges, knobs and screws.
