How to Put Piping on a Cushion cover?
Here are some of the steps by which the customers can easily Sew Piping On their Cushion:
- Join The Strips: The customers need to start by joining the inclined strips all together and the customers need to cut the small edges so that they are equally balanced. The customers then need to take both the strips and then pin the strips where the edges of the strips overlap with each other.
- Mark The Line: The customers then need to Use the chalk and then mark an angle of 45 degrees near the overlying fabric and then sew the strips all along the same line by using the sewing machine. They then need to cut the excess fabric and then hold the sewed joint to open. The customers then have to follow the same procedure while making the other fabric strips until the customers will get one long piece.
- Fold The Fabric: The customers then need to bend the fabric of near about 3cm at the short edges and then pin it in one place.
- Place The Cord: The customers then need to place the piping cord in the bent fabric and then start bending and begin folding and affixing the inclined strip all over the cord and then sew the cord accordingly.
- Use The Zipper Foot: The customers then need to use the zipper foot and then stitch it all along the corner of the inclined strip in order to affix it in one place.
- Place The Piping: Once the piping is made customers then have to place the piping in front of the cushion panel by affixing the edges to the right side of the fabric. The customers then need to cut the excess fabric and the cover the cut cord to the bent edge of the fabric. The customers then need to use the fabric pins to keep the piping in one place.
- Affix Piping To Other Sides: The customers then have to affix the crafted piping to the other sides and the edges of the cushion by lowering the swing needle at the edges and the corners.
