This type of quality bed does not need to be attached to the wall, and it is a very simple yet sturdy design that makes it easy in order to move the bed when required. Gather the required items first before going through the step by step procedure carefully in order to set up a wooden bed frame:

Items Needed

  • Headboard
  • Footboard
  • Side Rails & Slats
  • Screwdriver (Optional)
  • Mallet (Optional)

Step By Step Procedure

  1. Fisrt of all, gather all the bed pieces together in the room where you want to set up your wooden bed frame. You should keep all the items ready including the headboard, a footboard, and two side rails. Additionally, you will have numerous wood slats, as well as decorative post caps or pegs.
  2. The next step is to position the headboard against the wall where it will be placed. Turn over the headboard slightly & make sure not to fall over. Fix your rails on the sides where they actually have an affiliation with. Usually, the outer side of the rail is stained as well as finished. The inner side has a lip along the base edge, and the ends have long fasteners that are pointing downward. Position the footboard very nearby to the ends of the rails. Tilt it on something in order to keep it upright.
  3. Now, drop the headboard end of one rail into the headboard. Usually, the large fasteners on the rail end drop into cut marks in the post section of the headboard. After that, elevate the rail so that it is perpendicular to the headboard. This becomes very easy if there are two people working together. Move the rail straight into the slot, and the fasteners, in the end, should fall down over internal pegs. The rail needs to be straight, perpendicular, as well as the level for this to happen.
  4. Next, drop the other end of the same rail into the similar slots in the footboard. As soon as both the headboard as well as footboard are coming to the top and the rail is in place properly, it should fall down over the internal pegs. Compress the tops of the rails near the head and footboards, with the help of a rubber mallet. Once the rail is installed, perform the same process for the second rail.
  5. Finally, position one slat nearly 1 foot from the headboard starting from one side rail to the other. After that, position a 2nd slat 1 foot from the footboard. Count the rest of the slats and equally space them across the side rails.
