Reupholstering the dining chair makes the dining chair to look new and brings life back in it. The tools required for reupholstering the dining chair includes Pliers, Staple gun, & Awl. The steps to reupholster a dining chair are given below:
- Detach The Base: Detach the base of the dining chair from the chair frame. In case the base of the chair is not damaged then replace the fabric and attach it with pliers and awl.
- Make A New Seat: Next step is to make a new seat. Mark the appropriate dimensions on the wood and use jigsaw to cut the wood.
- Cut The Seat Cushion: Now for seat cushioning cut the seat cushion at least one inch thick and attach it on the wood properly with the glue.
- Dacron Polyester: Put a layer of Dacron polyester on the foam.
- Remove Fabric: Remove one-fourth of fabric from the seat base.
- Staple Gun: Check that the fabric is fully attached with the seat base. If not then use a staple gun to attach the fabric.
- Protect The Seat Cushion From Dust: Now cut the black cambric fabric cover and attach it underside the chair to protect the seat cushion from dust.
- Attach Screws: The last step is to attach screws back to the dining chair.

- Choose Chair And Fabric: The first step is that the user needs to choose the chair and the fabric.
- Remove The Seat: Next step is to rotate the chair upside down and remove the seat from the frame. After removing the seat the user can check for the wood repair like painting, tightening joints, etc.
- Remove The Old Fabric: Now remove the existing fabric with the help of staple remover.
- Cut New Seat Cover: Make a new seat cover by marking the dimensions according to the old seat cover.
- Attach Fabric To The Seat: Place the seat cushion on the seat cover and attach it with pins carefully from all sides.
- Keep The Corners Neat: Hold firmly at corners towards the center of the seat and staple all the corners neatly.
- Reattach The Seat And Enjoy: Now the last step is to attach the seat with the chair frame with the help of screws.

- Step 1: The first step is to remove away all the staples and tacks from the back of the chair with the help of screw driver.
- Step 2: Next step is to remove the old fabric from the back of the chair.
- Step 3: Now cut the new fabric according to the dimensions of the old fabric.
- Step 4: Apply fabric to the seat back and staple fabric carefully. Trim the extra fabric.
- Step 5: Now Apply fabric on back of the chair, fold the edges and then use T-pins for attaching the fabric on the back side of the chair.
