  1. Removing The Old Chair Covers: First of all, remove all the old fabric from the furniture, unscrew the chair base by using a screwdriver, after that remove all the staple or tackle from the furniture.
  2. Pull Off The Fabric And Padding: Once all the staples are removed and seats are loosened lift the fabric from the seat.
  3. Check The Seat Base: Properly check the seat base and if needed replace it.
  4. Replacing The Dust Cover And Padding: Now Cut the piece of the dust cover fabric to the dimensions of the seat and then staple around the edges.
  5. Staple The Dust Cover To The Top Of The Seat: Place the seat cover around the seat base and fix it to the seat by stapling.
  6. Foam Padding: Cut the thick foam padding according to the dimension of the seat, trace the foam around the seat then cut by the serrated knife or an electric knife.
  7. Batting: Once the foam padding is cut then place it directly on the batting. Foam and seats are so placed that they are centered to the batting. Then Cut the thick batting 2 numbers and past to the seat’s edges. Strongly Staple the batting to the center of the seat and then work slightly outwards.
  8. Fold The Batting: In order to secure the batting corner staple it. Slightly gather the excess fabric to one corner and then fold it. Cut the excess batting from the staples that will reduce the bulk and will prevent any kind of hanging.

  1. Measure Around The Piping: Begin with measuring the piping around the chair, for the overlap mark 2 extra inches.

  3. Wrap The Bias Strips: At the right side of the fabric wrap the bias strips around the fabric.
  4. Cushion: Unscrew the cushions from the seat.
  5. Measure The Side Of The Cushion: If the cushions have piping along the bottom then add 1 inch, incase there is not piping at the bottom then add 3 inches.
  6. Baste The Piping: Along the edges of the cushions baste the piping, at the end of the seam leave the extra inch of piping.
  7. Pin The Sides Of The Cushion: Now cushions to top with the right sides together.
  8. Sew The Ends Of The Side Piece: Now sew the Ends Of The Side Piece together wherever they meet and leave a 1/2-inch seam allowance, cut off the extra fabric. Now pull the cover over the cushion foam.
