Four Easy Steps Of Restuffing Attached Couch Cushions

The users can easily restuff the couch cushions that are attached at home by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Open It

Before the users start restuffing the couch cushions they need to unfasten the casing of the cushions as most of the cushion casing are having the concealed zipper by which the users can easily open up the covering of the cushions. The users are advised to examine the base of the affixed cushions at the back so as to disclose the invisible zippers. If in case the users did not find any zipper then they need to run their fingers all around the casing of the cushions so as to feel the invisible zipper and the moment they find the zipper they need to pull it upwards so as to open it and if in case they did not found any zipper at all then they need to make their opening by gently opening the sewed base or the side of the cushion casing by using the seam ripper respectively.

Step 2: Plump It

In the case of the friable stuffing materials like the feathers or the synthetic materials, the users are advised to take up their wanted stuffing material and then place it within the empty areas of the cushion casing and they need to keep on filling up the casing till the users won't achieve their desired look and the desired comfort level as well. The cushions that are having the feather stuffing consists of the cross-wise channels that are stitched at the inner cushion casing area so as to protect the stuffing from getting sunken at the cushion base. In this case, the users need to fill up each inner area of the cushion so as to attain their desired cushion look again.

Step 3: Replace It

If the couch cushion is having the single polyurethane stuffing then the users need to remove all this stuffing and fill the new one. The users need to build the model for their new one by simply placing the old cushion over the craft paper piece and then mark down the outline accordingly. Then they need to trim the craft paper so as to style the new bespoke foam so as to stuff it within the casing of the cushions. If desired the users can also add the feather stuffing over the pre-existing polyurethane filling so as to protect the cushions from getting wrapped.

Step 4: Close It

Once the users have re-stuffed their couch cushion then they need to seal up the side of the base opening. For the cushions that are having the attached zippers, they need to gently zip their cushions and if the users have made their own zipper side by opening the stitched side they need to sew it again so as to make it close by using the needle and the durable thread accordingly.
