- First of all, you need to put on your rubber gloves for safety purposes. You just need to wipe all surfaces of your toilet with the help of a disinfectant cleaner & rag, so you can also work in a clean environment and also reduce the transfer of germs.
- Now you need to close your toilet lid so you have better access to your snap caps, which are directly behind your toilet seat.
- Next you need to pry open the snap caps in an upward motion with the tip of your flat-head screwdriver. The plastic or metal screws holding your seat in the place will be exposed. The caps commonly are hinged at the back.
