Applying A Putty To Moderate Scratches

  2. Purchase Putty: The customer needs to purchase a bottle of putty or pre-dyed putty in a container that matches with the color of flooring.
  3. Clean The Scratches: Before repairing the scratch the customer need to clean the floor surface with the help of microfiber cloth. In order to protect the laminate floor from damage, rub the floor with mild dish detergent.
  4. Spread The Putty: Now take a putty knife and spread the laminate putty on the scratched area and fill the entire scratch with the putty.
  5. Remove The Excess Putty: Then take a dry paper towel and remove the extra putty around the scratched floor.

Filling Deeper Scratches With Wax

  3. Unwrap Wax And Melt: Next step is to uncover the wax sticks and melt the wax sticks with the help of burn-in knife so as to fill the deeper scratch in floor.
  4. Rub The Melted Wax: Now the next step is to fill the scratch. Take a burn-in knife and melt the wax filler sticks into the scratch with the tip of a burn-in knife and fill the affected area completely. After filling the scratched area level the floor by using a putty knife.
  5. Buff The Area: Last step is to rub the floor surface with the paper towel to remove the extra wax from the scratch filled area of the floor.
