What Are The Steps To Repair Pedestal Table Legs?
A pedestal table is the particular table type that is designed with the column-style legs with which the top of the table is attached. The steps to fix/ repair the pedestal table legs are mentioned below:
- Loose Joints: Check for the loose joints by keeping the table upside down. In case joints are loose tighten the nuts and screws using a screwdriver.
- New Screws: If there is no chance to tighten the old screws than replace them by new ones by drilling the holes and tighten the nuts and screws in these new holes.
- Glue: Apply glue inside holes and insert the dowel into the holes for smaller joints. Let the glue dry for 24 hours.
- Cut: Once the glue is dried cut the protruding ends with the help of a coping saw.
- Sand: The rough end of the dowel is required to be sanded with the help of the 100-grit sandpaper.
- Color: Paint the dowels with matching stains or paints.
