Fake leather is most commonly known as faux leather. Although the faux leather comes with good endurance but needs to be maintained to keep it protected from cracks and peeling as faux leather if not moisturized properly can result in the cracks.

- Clean: Before proceeding with repairs try to clean all debris and dirt from the surface.
- Peel: Ensure to peel the loose faux leather to make the surface even for sanding.
- Sanding: Use a fine-grit sanding sponge to sand the surface smooth.
- Interior Latex House Paint: Once the sanding is done apply the interior latex to finish it. The paint must be applied using a mini foam paint roller.
- Dry: Let the paint dry completely.
- Re-Sanding: Once the paint is dried follow the smooth sanding using fine-grit sandpaper. Light sanding is required until the surface smooths.
- Repeat Painting: Perform The sanding and painting for four times till its satisfactory results are achieved.
- Paste Wax: Once the paint is dried apply the wax over the entire piece and buff it with the soft cloth till it absorbs and allows it to dry for twenty minutes.
- Baby Powder: Sprinkle baby powder over the waxed surface and let it sit over the surface for some time and follow up by cleaning dust.
