Steps To Get Rid Of Sweat Stains From Leather Sofa

Leather can easily get discolored if it comes in contact with oil, water, or even cleaning agents due to its absorbent nature. One of the downfalls of leather furniture is that it is difficult to clean especially when sweat stains get into it. The steps to remove sweat stains from the leather sofa are as follows:
  1. Prepare Solution:
    The first step will be to prepare a solution by mixing one tablespoon of mild dishwashing detergent with 4 cups of warm water in a bowl. The user can mix the ingredients together by swirling his hand into the bowl.
  2. Use The Solution:
    The next step will be to dip a sponge into the solution and wring out excess liquid from it. After that, the user needs to rub the sponge on to the sweat-stained area in circular motions. It has been recommended to scrub the area until the stain gets removed.
  3. Dry The Leather:
    After that, the user needs to dry the leather by wiping it down with a clean soft cloth. In case, some stain is remaining on the leather sofa, the user needs to rub it with solution again followed by drying with a clean soft cloth.
  4. Apply Leather Conditioner:
    The last step will be to apply a leather conditioner on to the cleaned area. Due to the cleaning process, leather is likely to discolor or crack and the leather conditioner will protect the leather sofa from getting such problems.
