Removing Stains From Outdoor & Indoor Polished Concrete Floors

Sprinkle a detergent to the patio surface and then use a stiff brush in order to scrub it into the concrete. - Bleach, Ammonia: When it comes to permanent stains on concrete floors, make a mixture of flour and hydrogen peroxide & create a paste exactly of the uniformity of peanut butter. Apply it over the stained area & then keep it as it is for the whole night. After that, scrape with the help of a plastic-edged scraper tool.
- Trisodium Phosphate (TSP): Applying Trisodium phosphate (TSP) mixed with water on the stain affected area with the help of a nylon bristle brush can help get rid of tough stains. Scrub as long as the stain is completely removed and then rinse using a hose.
- Muriatric Acid: Muriatric acid is another method that can be applied on outdoor floors in order to get rid of the toughest stains, like rust or dried grout. It is a very powerful & toxic material that should be used with utmost care. Indoor Concrete Floors
- Water & A Mild Cleaner: When it comes to polished or stamped indoor concrete floors, take a smooth approach to cleaning concrete. Simply use a mop and a bucket with a mixture of water & a mild cleaner. The use of highly acidic substances including ammonia, bleach, etc on polished or stamped floors should be avoided. Instead go for the cleaners like Castile soap, liquid dish detergent, mild floor cleaners, etc. Make a mixture of a solution, apply to the floor using a wet mop, and then rinse with the help of a mop dipped in clean water.
- Concrete Sealant: In order to make your concrete floors impenetrable to upcoming stains, put or spread a concrete sealant. With the help of a paint roller, apply it to clean, primed concrete. Start from the center of the area and move the sealant out to the edges. Floors need to be sealed off every 2 to 3 years. After cleaning the concrete properly, it will help keep the floors in your garage, workshop, and house looking as good as new again.
